Rajst silently slipped through the forest, his black clothing making him nigh invisible to the naked eye. In his hand he held his katana, the blade still slick
with the blood of his fallen prey. When he had gotten far enough away from the assassination scene, he paused long enough to wipe the blade clean before

Rajst nodded slowly as she spoke. His face was devoid of any emotion whatsoever, as if it were chiseled from stone. Finally, he spoke softly.

"You count the Lich King as one of your friends. Perhaps it is true and he views you the same way," his tone hinting at a sad curiosity, "but
perhaps not." He knew the Lich King for what he truly was: a cunning, malicious, meticulous genocidal maniac. He never allowed anyone to grow close to
him, that much he knew. At one...

Regardless of the previous news, she smiled at the name. It was obvious she cared about Zuka. That wasn't the question though.

"I met Zuka before I was married. I know he doesn't like to waste things or feel unwelcome."

Her answer was based on the things he did the first day they met. He had brought food for her open-invasion lunch, and he didn't waste one bit of the large
dear he caught. Zuka had even taken the bodies - to skin or use the bones, or...

Rajst knew both of their lives were in danger. If they headed closer towards where the Lich King, and his armies, were arriving, their likelihood of survival
would decrease. At the same time, Rajst knew he couldn't just leave the island behind to be slaughtered. But what to
do...? The question nagged at the Assamite for a few more seconds. It dawned on him very quickly. Zuka and zip knew each other, that much he knew.

As much as she had things to think about, her mind was absent other than when it was necessary. It found one thing to do, and then a next - always as a
distraction. This was more obvious as she stood hugging her always alert friend. Admiring his focused eyes she wondered just how many things he was paying
attention to at once.

She would have continued to think about that and nothing else if his look didn't change. No, she was fully aware of things now. Taking two steps back she...

The Assamite nodded at zip's response; he could say the same for the most part. He closed his eyes and listened to her heart beat softly and could hear the
night wildlife around them. Several rats scurried about foraging for food until a distant owl's hoot boomed through the sky. When the rats realized the owl
wasn't coming after them, they resumed their foraging. Rajst focused his attention closer on the owl. He heard the owl take flight and glide down at the
rats, the distinct...

There was only one she'd be comfortable with being assaulted with a hug, so it was just her being mindful.
It took her a moment to answer his question. "It was just a place to go."

She may have been more welcomed at the Estate, but for now she wasn't ready to learn how she'd be greeted. Being...

The vampire returned zip's hug and embraced her tightly. The scent of her warm flesh was overwhelming, her heartbeat drumming in his ears like a steady
battle drum. He was dazed for a second, entranced by the sensation, until he regained his composure. Mentally, Rajst cursed his vampire blood before he
whispered into her ear. "I had missed you." Releasing from the hug, the friendly smile stayed on his face as he wrapped his cloak around the two of

She smiled lightly at the memories of the first day they met. There was a bit of foolishness in her now for having doubted that it was him. It was just that,
the first time she had seen James again, it wasn't really him. She was out of that place now though and knew she needed to keep reminding herself that the
tricks were gone.

Rajst heard zip's heart stop, and for a moment, feared for her life. But when her breathing and heartbeat resumed, he relaxed. The vampire stepped further
into the moonlight so she could see him even more clearly. A rare friendly smile crept on his face; it had been a long, long time since Rajst had last seen
zipcat. Suddenly she glanced away and asked if it really was him. Rajst found himself at a loss for words as he cautiously tilted his head in curiousity, much

Rather than jump in shock the surprise of someone talking to her froze her stiff, inside and out. If it had been a beast it was the best response; without
movement or the sound of even her heart beating the odds of it spotting her were drastically reduced. At least if it hadn't spotted her already.

However she recognized the voice quickly and the second pause was over. Turning with a small smile to Rajst she rested her side against the nearby tree. As
