I think marriage is a symbol. It's for traditionals that say you need it to be 'committed' and well, you know. But I'm with James when it comes
to how important it is.
Other than the benefits of law, it's not needed except to please those kind of people. Besides, most of the 'dream marriages' I hear about end too quickly. Either that or they start to soon. You don't need some title to be happy. |

I'm too young for that commitment. But it's a commitment I'm excited to make one day. It's blessed by God between two people who pledge to
spend the rest of their lives together. That doesn't mean it doesn't take work... it's just work I'm not free to give at the moment lol.
In this world, there is right and there is wrong... And that distinction is not difficult to make.

A lot of Christians I know think that you need a title to put forth the commitment required. I hate it because my extended family belittled my sister and her
fiancee (in a very sneaky way) for not getting married. It angered us both.
I've been told to start looking for a girl. I don't need a $$+@%++ girl to exist happily. I'm pretty sure I don't need one to have love for others, either. Bleh. |

Hell, with the price of a wedding, I'd be happy being common law
 After so long, it's teh same thing, only there's less haslte if you split.
It's all the benifits of marrage without the fees and paperwork. My fience and I are in no real rush to have the married title. We're just happy being

I agree if you love someone you shouldn't have to get married to prove it to others. Seems unfair to people that are of the same sex anyway since they
can't get married legally here in the US.
I'm in love with someone my family most likely wouldn't approve of but we're not getting marreid anytime soon or anything I don't think. If at all.  |
