Four hundred feet above the fog covered port a structure would phase into existance. The massive structure, bathed in a warm blood-red glow, would slowly become more and more real, the substance of the building manifesting itself little by little, until a few long minutes later, it was completed. The glow subsided, plunging the structure into utter darkness, save for a slight shimmering aura protecting its surface. Its arrival would go unnoticed by those on the ground.
Deep within the Temple of the Damned awaited Kressh'al, Gorothal, and Mimmukarr, three of the Lich King's four generals; each had been assigned a specific task beforehand. When the Temple had finally manifested itself, the plan moved into action. Gorothal unsheathed his four greatswords and let forth a demonic roar, pitting revulsion against courage. Those under his command roared back and stepped forth. All in all, Gorothal commanded thirty thousand Kor'Shaell, thirty five thousand Arth'Rezim, fifteen thousand Mikirrall, ten thousand Winged Imps, a hundred Skeletal Lords, two hundred thousand Skeletal Warriors, seven hundred fifty Draghkarr, one hundred fifty Pit Lords, four thousand Mae'Vaell, five Be'Irege Lords, a thousand Be'Iregan, five hundred Skull Bearers, two thousands Gargoyles, a pair of Tech-Vah'Tae Masters, and a thousand Tech-Vah'Tarre. They charged into the three teleporation circles, fifteen hundred sent to the ground each wave.
Their arrival was rapid; they slaughtered all that stood in their way. Gorothal roared once more as he cleaved a guard in half. The second wave arrived, followed by the third. Several long minutes later, and the force of nearly three hundred thousand had arrived. Their orders were simple: secure the port and march on the Atrium.
Mimmukarr's group, far smaller than his blood-thirsty counterpart, was next. Five thousand Kor'Shaell, ten thousand Arth'Rezim, a thousand Mikirrall, five Saramir Agents, and two hundred fifty Saramurre followed him to the ground. The Lich King's orders directed them to assault the Emerald Estate and assist the other generals, if needed, afterwards. Kressh'al's had been ordered to remain behind in the Temple of the Damned. Six thousand warlocks and twenty necromancers would remain with him to summon more demons and to protect the Temple from intruders.
The screams of innocents began to fill the night sky as the demons began their slaughter...
